Our Vision
Amal Unite & Empower (AUE) is a province-wide workforce development and employer engagement initiative supporting newcomers and employers across Newfoundland and Labrador. We work with newcomers who are eligible to work in Canada and want to build meaningful, long-term careers in NL, while supporting employers to recruit, onboard, and retain diverse talent.
The Connector Program at AUE is an integrated part of our broader Employment Program and supports job-ready newcomers through relationship-based networking and mentorship.
Our Approach
AUE combines employment preparation, employer partnerships, and community connection. We support newcomers to understand the local labour market, strengthen workplace communication, and build confidence, while helping employers access skilled, motivated talent.
The Connector Program strengthens this work by creating intentional, relationship-based connections that support long-term workforce integration and retention.
The Connector Program at AUE
The Connector Program is a selective, invitation-based opportunity for newcomers who have completed or are actively engaged in AUE’s Employment Program and are ready to expand their professional networks. Participants are matched with connectors who provide insight into the local labour market, introductions, and guidance that supports career advancement in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Newcomers Interested in Employment Support
Newcomers interested in employment support in Newfoundland and Labrador are encouraged to begin with AUE’s Employment Program. Participation in the Employment Program is required before being considered for the Connector Program.
